Blog 8: English Language Challenges

Hi everyone, today will be the last day of this English blog, so I will talk to you about my experience in the course.
I had the fortune of being in my first and last English with the same teacher, I think I have learned a lot and the blogs have helped me with that, I have followed his advice and I use Duolingo to keep learning, thanks to that I have acquired more vocabulary, however I still find it very difficult to create sentences and say them quickly, I am very slow in that sense, but I think it is because I lack confidence.

I have a friend who studies English, from her I have also learned a lot and she always recommends me to watch series and movies in English without subtitles in order to improve my listening and also my pronunciation. I'd like to speak fluent English one day so that I can travel to other countries without the inconvenience of the language. I have many plans that I would like to make abroad, and I try to make an effort to always be practicing, although sometimes it's very frustrating not to know what they say, for example, in the movies. I feel that every day I can understand a little bit more and that gives me hope that at some point I can understand everything as well as I understand Spanish.

Although my insecurity plays against me, I feel that every time I make a mistake I also learn, but even so I am still embarrassed to speak, I remember that for my first oral exam in these courses I was sweating and my heart was beating too much, with time I have already overcome that and I hope that in my last exam which is on Friday, the same thing will not happen to me.

Blog 7: Music

Hi everyone, today I'm going to talk you about my favorite band

As far as musical themes are concerned, I'm a person who usually listens to many styles, I couldn't say which one is my favourite, as of all of them there is always some exponent that catches my attention. However, there's a group called Green Day, which moves me more than others, because of their irreverent way of singing and expressing their ideas. The album that I like the most is "American Idiot", I feel that they reflect very well how stupid Americans and humanity in general can be, I like them because they are rebellious and crazy, in fact the name of their band came to mind one day that they were very high on marijuana haha I like that they don't care about anything and just let themselves be carried away by what they feel. The last time they visited our country, in 2017, I was fortunate to be able to attend their concert, besides being my first time seeing them live, it was also my first time at a concert in my life. It was the most exciting moment, I was in the field sector which was a challenge because I am very small, I am approximately 1.45 m. but despite all that I enjoyed very much their staging and all their songs, although they did not play my favorite song "oh love", I will never forget that beautiful experience of seeing them live.

Blog 6: Postgraduate studies

Hi, everyone! Today I'm going to talk to you about my future postgraduate studies.
I would like to do a postgraduate course on a topic related to my career in Psychology. I am not clear yet on what specifically, but I do know where I want to do it. Some time ago, talking to a friend, she told me that she wants to go to study in Germany, she has already traveled and she told me how wonderful that country is, and she also told me that they have a very good university and work system, at that time without thinking I told her that it would be a good idea to go together and she said yes. After that we attended talks where he explained to us the requirements to study in this country, even though this decision was postponed because of the current pandemic, we are still researching about what is needed because it is something we are very excited about.
Our plan is to live in Germany, she tells me that there is a real value in the work of each person and that they are paid what they are entitled to, so there are no great economic differences between different jobs, so in the same neighborhood you can have a diversity of professions and trades that coexist, there is no such gap that is well marked in our country. This is one of the reasons why I would love to study in this country, the other one is that I like the German culture and I have always wanted to attend the beer festival they hold there.

Blog 5: My future job

Hi, today I'm going to talk to you about my future job.

I've always thought that psychology can be related to baking, I've heard many people say that they feel good about cooking, in a way that relaxes them. I've also heard that moods influence what you cook, the typical "I baked it with love" saying. I love to cook and I also love psychology, I would like to do more research on this relationship and in the future have my own bakery. I would like to travel to many countries, one of which would be France, because they say they are experts in sweet things there and I would like to see for myself. I would also travel to Norway, because I am also very interested in school psychology, and as I mentioned in another blog, they have a good educational system. I would like to earn good money to be able to finance my studies, I want to continue learning about these two areas and one day find a way to be able to join two things that I like. To finish this blog, I will leave you pictures of some cakes I made in this quarantine, all of them are recipes that were originally modified because they had to be adapted to the few ingredients I had in the house :c
